is a first grade teacher at Yeshivah of Flatbush in Brooklyn. Prior to teaching first grade, she taught third grade for several years at Yeshivah of Flatbush and has also worked at Magen David Yeshivah, teaching first grade in a specialized class with extra language support. Before becoming a teacher, Claire worked as a social worker, serving many different populations including children in early intervention, mentally ill homeless adults and seniors. Claire holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Hunter College and a Master’s degree in Childhood Education from Bank Street College. Claire and her husband, Abie, are the proud parents of four children, Linda, Morris, Isaac and Marilyn. Isaac is a current sixth grade student at Shefa and Linda was one of Shefa’s pioneer graduates.
